TAMPA, Fla. – Sophomore
Jerrick Stevenson fueled a second-half surge to help lead the Eckerd College men's basketball team past Miles (Ala.) College in the Tritons final game of the University of Tampa Classic on Sunday afternoon, 67-50.
Eckerd (7-4, 0-0) has now won three of its last four games as it enters the Sunshine State Conference portion of its schedule, while Miles (0-7, 0-0 SIAC) remains in search of its first win of the season.

Josh Snodgrass laid in a layup to begin a 13-0 run for the Tritons to give them an 18-point lead, 48-30, and cement the win.
Stevenson owned five of the 13 points in the run to contribute to his 12-point second half. Stevenson led all scorers with 16 points and added nine rebounds.
Sophomore
Ray Darnell added double-digit scoring with 11 points and senior
Alex Bodney contributed 13 points, going 7-of-8 from the free-throw line.
Snodgrass fell one basket short of posting his second double-double of the season with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Eckerd managed to connect at 44 percent (22-of-50) shooting from the field.
The Tritons toppled Pfeiffer (N.C.) University in the Martinez Center on Saturday afternoon to open up the Tampa Classic.
Eckerd returns to action following the holiday break in its conference home-opener against Nova Southeastern University on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 4 p.m. EST in the McArthur Center.
