WINTER PARK, Fla. – The seventh-seeded Eckerd College men's tennis program will begin the postseason at the Florida Blue Sunshine State Conference Championship on Thursday against No. 2 seed Rollins College.
The Tritons (0-16, 0-6 SSC) will face the nationally-ranked Tars (14-6, 5-1 SSC) in Lakeland at the Beerman Tennis Center beginning at 11:30 a.m. in quarterfinal action.
The winner will advance in the bracket to semifinal action on Friday against either No. 3 Barry University or No. 6 Florida Tech. The loser will move to the consolation portion of the tournament and compete in the backdraw.
Eckerd hosted Rollins in the lone season matchup to begin the month of April, falling by a 9-0 decision. The Tars are currently ranked sixth in the International Tennis Association's latest Division II National Rankings as of March 28.
