Box Score

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A trio of different players found the net for Florida Southern College in the first half as it recorded a shutout to begin Sunshine State Conference play against the Eckerd College women's soccer team on Wednesday, 0-3.

FSC goaltenders Martina Tangen and Erin Moseley teamed up for a two-save shutout and the Mocs (3-2, 1-0 SSC) received a goal and an assist by Kirra Rainbow. Florida Southern scored two of its goals inside a two-minute span midway through the first half.

The Tritons (2-4, 0-1 SSC) dropped their third straight and the team's offensive slump was prolonged.

FSC's Alex Hoover snapped a scoreless tie in the 11th minute with her second goal of the season being a product of downfield action by teammates Kara Moore and Alyssa Abrahamsen.

Auburn Cherry padded the Mocs' advantage with a goal stemming from a throw-in at the 35:02 mark.

Two minutes later, Rainbow struck unassisted for the insurmountable three-goal edge.

Eckerd freshman goaltender Morgan Crescent received her first collegiate start in net and registered four saves. The Tritons managed to fire off six shots, including one on goal each from Emily Johnson and Adrianna Garcia.

Eckerd moves back into non-conference action later this week as it hosts Coker (S.C.) College on Friday at 7 p.m.
