Box Score

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Alex Bickenbach scored a goal and assisted on two others to lead Christian Brothers (Tenn.) University over the Eckerd College women's soccer team on Sunday, 4-0.

Takako Murasue, Emily Smith and Anna Laskarzewska, also found the net for the Bucs (2-0-2, 0-0 GSC), who kept an opponent off the scoreboard for the third time this season. The Tritons (2-3, 0-0 SSC) were dealt their second loss in a row.

Christian Brothers struck twice in each half as Bickenbach assisted the Bucs' first two scores before drilling the game's final tally in unassisted fashion in the 86th minute.

After being blanked in the shot department against No. 18 University of North Alabama on Friday, the Tritons managed to fire nine shots against the CBU defense.

Callie Pederson had a pair of shots on goal, while Arielle Anahory and Meredith Mahoney each fired two shots apiece.

Eckerd forced Christian Brothers' goaltender Robyn Wade to make six saves.

The Tritons will next gear up for their Sunshine State Conference opener, part of a three-game homestand at the Turley Athletic Complex. Eckerd opens league play by hosting Florida Southern College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
