MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Eckerd College men's and women's tennis teams fell at Barry on Saturday in Sunshine State Conference action.
The men's squad fell 6-3 against the No. 2 Buccaneers, while the women dropped a 9-0 decision to the No. 4 Bucs.
The men took two of the three doubles matches, with Adam Hopkins and Dylan Randazzo winning at No. 2 doubles with an 8-4 victory over Sergio Velez and Romain Costamagna.
Erik Thunberg and Aaron Kleefield won a tiebreaker in No. 3 doubles to give the Tritons an early 2-1 lead. But the Bucs rallied to take five of the six singles matches, with Randazzo claiming the lone point at No. 6 singles due to a default.
