WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Eckerd men's soccer team fell to Palm Beach Atlantic 1-0 Tuesday.
PBA's Evan Singlar scored the lone goal of the match in the 43rd minute. While the Tritons outshot PBA 11-7, Eckerd only had three of those shots on goal.
“We didn't take our opportunities in front of goal today,” head coach Steve Magee said. “Obviously we were a little disappointed, but we are looking forward to our first conference game this weekend, and we will be ready.”
Freshman goalkeeper Toni Virtanen had three saves.
The Tritons will open up conference play on the road Saturday against Florida Southern at 7 p.m. Results will be posted on eckerdtritons.com.
