LAKELAND, Fla. – In their final match of the season, the Eckerd women's tennis team dropped their seventh place match to Saint Leo, 5-3, at the Beerman Tennis Facilities Saturday afternoon during the Sunshine State Conference Tournament.
The Tritons were able to take one match from the Lions during doubles action. Stephanie Jenks and Manon Ironside defeated their competition 8-1 in the No. 2 slot.
Every match but one was completed during singles play, where only two Triton players were victorious. Amanda Teets defeated Christine Clyne 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 3 slot, while Christine Hammerschmidt took out Chloe Andersson 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 5 spot.
Eckerd finishes their 2010 campaign with a 3-14 overall record with a 1-7 conference record.
