LAKELAND, Fla. - In the opening round of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament, the Eckerd College men's tennis team fell to No. 8 Rollins College, 5-0, at the Beerman Tennis Facility that is located in Lakeland, Florida.
No. 41 Tritons were swept in doubles competition, dropping to the No. 1 competition 8-2, and 8-3 to both the No. 2 and No. 3 opponents. Only two matches were played in singles round, which were the No. 1 and No. 6 slots. Both Triton players fell 6-1, 6-0 to their competition.
The Tritons will compete in a back draw match Saturday, April 17, against the winner of the Florida Tech-Saint Leo match. Match is set to start at 11:30 am.
