MIAMI SHORES
, Fla. - Ashley Lutz scored 11 points while dishing out a career-high eight assists but the Barry Buccaneers (15-5, 7-3 SSC) would rally late to defeat the Eckerd Tritons (7-11, 1-8 SSC), 67-62, on Wednesday evening at Barry's Health and Sports Center.

After Eckerd led at halftime 38-27, the turning point in the game proved to be a 24-4 run by the Bucs, enabling the home team to recover from a 54-39 deficit to take a 63-58 lead with 57 seconds remaining in the game.

The Tritons would use free throws to trim Barry's lead down to 63-62 with four seconds to go but Christina Thompson and Nadia Tijani would make good on a pair of trips to the charity stripe to put the game on ice.

The Tritons led the Buccaneers in field goal percentage (55 to 40 percent) and rebounding (30-26) but 24 turnovers proved to be Eckerd's undoing, as compared to just 10 committed by Barry.

Kati Rausberg led Eckerd with 13 points while Jordan Stacey grabbed 11 rebounds. Barry's Mariesa Greene led all scorers with 17 points to go along with 10 boards.

Eckerd will return to the hardwood on Saturday, February 6 as it hosts Nova Southeastern in SSC action beginning at 2pm.
