TAMPA, Fla. – The Eckerd women's tennis team dropped their second match of the season to The University of Tampa, 3-6, in a non-conference meeting Tuesday, February 23rd.
Number one doubles team Emmy Laing and Stephanie Jenks took down UT, with a score of 8-3. Both were on a roll heading into the singles matches as they defeated their opponent, Laing defeating Kourtney Stark in three sets (6-1, 7-6, 10-8) and Jenks taking out Nikol Williams in two (6-0, 6-0).
The Tritons will be back in action tomorrow, February 24th, as they host NAIA Webber International University. Match is set for 3:00 pm.
