Tijana Brdar scored 15 points in a losing effort as the Eckerd Tritons (9-12, 3-9 SSC) were defeated by the 17th-ranked Tampa Spartans (21-3, 11-2 SSC), 66-37, on Wednesday evening at UT's Bob Martinez Center.
In the first half, it was all Spartans as Tampa used an 18-3 run at the start of the game to spark a 38-15 halftime lead. In the half, Tampa shot 43 percent from the field while Eckerd only shot at a 20.8 percent clip.
Kati Rausberg led Eckerd with six points in the half while Taja Green posted a whopping 16 of her game-high 18 total points.
Things started out much the same way it did in the second half as Tampa started on a 17-1 run, eventually pulling its starters and coasting to the victory.

Stephanie Grace also scored six points while Angela Guiu added 12 points for the Spartans..
Eckerd will return to the hardwood on Saturday, February 20 as it hosts Lynn at 2pm at the McArthur Center.
