BOCA RATON, Fla. – Kala Abdell and Katie Bradley combined for 25 kills and seven block assists, as Lynn University defeated the Eckerd College volleyball team 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-22) on Friday at the de Hoernle Center.
Abdell had 13 kills and five block assists, while Bradley contributed 12 kills as the Fighting Knights (19-7, 10-3 Sunshine State Conference) won their sixth straight match.
Lynn hit .317 and had eight total blocks in picking up its fourth consecutive straight-sets win.
Olivia Fraser and Lindsay Biggs each had nine kills to lead Eckerd (9-16, 2-12). Hallie Ward had a team-best 16 digs.
The Knights seized the momentum early, using an 11-2 run in the first set to take a 1-0 lead. The two teams were tied midway through the second, but Lynn won nine of the final 12 points to take a 2-0 advantage.
In the third, Eckerd was down 13-6 before eventually closing the deficit to 22-20. But Abdell closed out the match with a kill from setter Devon Woolard (seven kills, .636 hit percentage, 35 assists).
The Tritons will travel to Rollins for a 7 p.m. match next Friday.
