Eckerd-Rollins Box Score

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Eckerd College women's soccer team faced one of the nation's best on Tuesday and held its own in a 1-0 loss to No. 6 Rollins at the Turley Athletic Complex.

Rollins sophomore midfielder Annie Pippert scored the game's only goal in the 32nd minute, helping the Tars (7-1-1, 2-0-1 Sunshine State Conference) remain undefeated in SSC play.

The Tars had their chances, recording 29 shots – including eight on goal. But Eckerd goalkeeper Kelly Zahorski made seven saves to keep the Tritons (1-10, 0-5) in it. Eckerd senior midfielder Samantha Nichols had a shot on goal in the 89th minute, but Rollins goalkeeper Michelle Dillingham made the save to preserve the shutout.

The Tritons will get a week off before returning to SSC action at 7 p.m. next Tuesday at Nova Southeastern.
