ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – No. 10 Rollins scored two goals during a 37-second span to lift the Tars to a 2-0 win over the Eckerd College men's soccer team on Tuesday at the Turley Athletic Complex.
Alex Bisbee and Stephen Wright each scored in the 37th minute to help the Tars (7-2-1, 4-1 Sunshine State Conference) win for the seventh time in 10 outings.
The Tars out-shot Eckerd (5-4, 2-2) 10-7, though the hosts did get four shots on goal compared to three for Rollins.
The Tritons were trying to upset a top-10 school for the second straight week after topping No. 9 Tampa 2-1 last Tuesday.
George Marchant and Drew Smith each led Eckerd with two shots, including one on goal.
The Tritons will continue SSC action at 7 p.m. on Saturday at home against Lynn.
