Second Half Surge Leads Barry Past Women's Soccer

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Barry scored three second-half goals to take a 4-0 win over the Eckerd College women's soccer team on Thursday evening at the Turley Athletic Complex.

Chelsea Stoeckigt and Lainie Ferring each scored a goal for the Bucs (8-8-1, 3-4-1 Sunshine State Conference). Haley Struthers added two goals late in the second half.

Maggie Swanbeck had a pair of shots for Eckerd (3-13-1, 0-8), and Dana Treat also recorded a shot. Kelly Zahorski had 12 saves.

Stoeckigt tallied the lone goal in the first half on a Barry corner kick in the 28th minute. The Bucs put it away in the second half with three scores in the final 35 minutes.

Eckerd will wrap up the 2010 season at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Webber International.
