Box Score

WEST PALM BEACH
, Fla. - Sophomore guard Kati Rausberg poured in a career-high 28 points, 19 of which came in the second half, on a stellar 10-of-11 performance from the field, including 6-for-6 from downtown, to help the Eckerd Tritons (7-10) handily defeat the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish (5-16), 73-60, on Saturday afternoon at PBA's Rubin Arena. Rausberg's six made three-pointers fell just one shy of tying a program record.

After a layup by Krystal Charles gave the Tritons a 13-7 lead with 12:53 to go in the first half, the Sailfish would go on to out-score Eckerd, 28-16, for the remainder of the half, going into the locker room with a 35-29 lead after a layup by Hayley Fields with five ticks to go.

In the second half, however, it was all Tritons as, behind Rausberg's surge, they would out-score PBA, 44-25. After a pair of free throws by Fields tied the game at 50-50 with 10:03 to go, a layup by Jordan Stacey gave Eckerd the lead for good and sparked it on a 22-3 run, eventually capped by a three by Stacey with 2:58 to go.

For the game, Eckerd out-shot PBA, 44.6 to 35.3 percent from the field. In addition, the Tritons were hot from the perimeter, raining threes at a 51.7 percent clip (15-of-29), include 64.7 percent in the second half.

Stacey added 16 points and six rebounds while Taylor Young and Tijana Brdar, who had four blocked shots, tallied 12 and 10 points, respectively. Ashley Lutz found other ways to contribute besides scoring, dishing out six assists to go along with three steals. Selethia Jackson led PBA with 12 points and eight rebounds.

Eckerd will return to action on Wednesday, February 3 as it travels to Miami Shores, Fla. to battle Barry in SSC action at 5:30pm.
