Florence, Ala. – The Eckerd Tritons, after having their opener rained out earlier in the week, made the trip to the University of Northern Alabama to take on the Lady Bucs of Christian Brothers University Friday afternoon at the UNA Invitational. The Tritons left the pitch on the losing end of a 2-0 score.
The Lady Bucs' (3-0-0) forward, Sarah Catherine Ryan, scored goals in the 18th and 28th minute respectively. After the second goal, and for the rest of the match, the Tritons (0-1-0) stiffened up defensively, shutting out the Lady Bucs in the second half.
The Tritons are staying in Florence for the weekend and will take on the University of Northern Alabama for a Sunday afternoon meeting. The Tritons will take the pitch at 4:30pm Eastern Time.
