The Eckerd College Women's Golf team competed at the Queens Invitational over the weekend where the team finished 12th with an overall score of 678. With a first round team score of 340, the Tritons were able to improve during the second round carding a 338 on the par-72, 6.007-yard course.
Nicole Lasasso led the team with a two-round score of 163 by carding an 82 and 81 in the first and second rounds respectfully, allowing her to finish 30th out of 79 golfers.
Morgan Deutsch shot seven strokes behind Lasasso, to finish second overall for the Tritons. Rounding out play for the team were
Georgia Gordon,
Jessica Potter, and
Leah Colombo.
Ashland University, which shot an overall 626, placed first at the tournament, also yielding the first place individual winner, Erin Misheff, who during the second round shot two strokes under par finishing with a two-round score of 142.
The Eckerd team will travel to the Waterlefe Golf and River Club in Bradenton, Fla. on October 4th through the 6th where they will compete in the USF/Waterlefe Invitational.
