Women's Tennis Falls to Tampa, 8-1

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd Tritons women's tennis team (0-14, 0-8 SSC) fell victim to the Tampa Spartans (9-12, 1-7 SSC) by a tally of 8-1 on Tuesday afternoon at the Turley Athletic Complex.

The Tritons' lone victory came courtesy of Stephanie Jenks, who defeated Tampa's Kourtney Stark, 7-5, 5-7, 10-5, in top flight singles.

Eckerd will return to the courts on Thursday, April 9 as it concludes its regular season on the road against Saint Leo in SSC action.
