Men's Tennis Advances to SSC Fifth-Place Match with 5-0 Win Over Saint Leo

Boca Raton, FL - The Eckerd Tritons (6-13) defeated the Saint Leo Lions (5-16), 5-0, in semifinal action of the back draw of the Sunshine State Conference Championships on Friday on the campus of Lynn University.

Highlighting the sweep were an 8-1 #1 doubles victory by Ben Maxwell and Hisa Sato and a 6-2, 6-4 victory at #2 doubles by Sato over Saint Leo's Richard MacLachlin.

The sixth-seeded Tritons now advance to Saturday's fifth-place match against the fifth-seeded Florida Tech Panthers, beginning at 10am.
