Michelle Espinosa

Espinosa joined the Eckerd community in the spring of 2021 and serves as Eckerd’s Coordinator for Title IX, Section 504, and Equal Opportunity.  

Espinosa comes to Eckerd from American University in Washington, D.C. where she served as the Associate Dean of Students since August 2010.  

Prior to American University, she spent two years at  the University of Tennessee in Knoxville as the Director of Student Judicial Affairs, and 13 years at her undergraduate alma mater, Stetson University, in her hometown of DeLand, Fla.  At Stetson, Espinosa served as Director of Residential Life and Dean of Students. 

Espinosa obtained her BA in Psychology from Stetson University in 1986, her M. Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of South Carolina in 1988 and her Juris Doctorate from American University, Washington College of Law in 2019.
