Now entering her ninth year on staff, Amanda Green has been a driving force in shaping the student-athlete experience of Eckerd College Athletics. A proud Eckerd alumna and former Triton softball student-athlete, Green rejoined her alma mater in 2017 and has steadily advanced through the department. She was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations/Senior Woman Administrator in 2025, expanding her leadership role within the department.
Her leadership was nationally recognized in 2022 when she was selected to the inaugural CSC 30 Under 30 class. Her expertise was further recognized in 2025 when she served as the NCAA Site Representative for the Men's Basketball South Region Tournament and was invited to speak on two national panels at the NACDA/CSC Convention: "Maximizing Your Budget" and "Crossover Season Content."
She serves on numerous committees, including the Women's Golf Regional Advisory Committee (RAC), Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Statistics Committee, Eckerd's Staff Engagement Committee, and Eckerd's Hall of Fame Committee. She also previously served on the Athletic Diversity Action Committee.Â
Beyond her day-to-day role, Green is deeply involved in department-wide engagement and community impact, including annual programming for National Girls and Women in Sports Day events, World Mental Health Day events, including a seminar with from NFL player Ali Marpet and a Mental Health 5K event, drug and alcohol programming, and participation in the annual MLK Day Parade. Â
She also aids in major fundraising campaigns, including the annual Month of Giving and Tritons Dinner Auction, both of which set fundraising records each of the past three years.Â
Green began her professional journey at Eckerd in 2017 as a Sports Information Intern, earning successive promotions to Athletic Communications Coordinator (2018), Director of Athletic Communications (2019), and Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing and Communications (2022).
Green oversaw the strategic direction of marketing, branding, and communications across Eckerd's 16 varsity programs. Her wide-ranging leadership included media relations, creative content, social media engagement, game day operations, statistics, video production, and the department's visual identity.Â
Since taking over Athletic Communications in 2019, Green led a digital transformation of Triton Athletics, including creating and publishing the department's first-ever Athletic Annual Report, launching a redesigned of EckerdTritons.com in 2021–22, driving major social media growth, including a 60 percent increase in Instagram followers in her first year and consistent year-over-year gains in engagement.
She earned recognition in the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Publications and Digital Design Contest, including: "Best in the Nation" honors for winter milestone graphic (2023) and the Annual Report (2024), a top-3 finish for 2024 Division II Designer of the Year, and multiple top-15 national finishes in creative content categories.
Green implimented key department initiatives such as the "Triton Talk" video series, the annual ECSPY's Awards Show, and the development of Eckerd's visual identity across athletic facilities.Â
She earned her bachelor's degree in Communication from Eckerd in 2016 and completed her Master's in Sports Administration from Wayne State University (Mich.) in 2023. Green currently resides in Gulfport, Florida.
