Chelsea Palmer begins her second year on the sidelines at the Turley Athletic Complex as the assistant coach of the women's soccer program.
After graduating from Plano East High School in Plano, Texas, Palmer began her collegiate career at the junior college level before eventually landing at the University of West Florida.
While playing for the Argonauts in 2012 and 2013, Palmer was a two time NSCAA and Daktronics First Team All-America selection. When she wasn’t scoring goals she was dishing out the assists leading the Gulf South Conference in assists per game in back to back years.
In 2013, Chelsea was selected as the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year and Daktronics All-South Region Player of the Year.
Chelsea’s best season came in 2012 when she led NCAA Division II in assists (19) and points (51). Her on field accomplishments were recognized by the NSCAA as Parker was named 2012 NCAA Championships Most Outstanding Offensive Player and NSCAA Player of the Year.
The highlight of her collegiate career came in the National Championship contest for Division II in 2012 against UC San Diego. Palmer netted the game-winning goal helping to deliver the first ever National Championship in program history.
Chelsea graduated from West Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology. She currently resides in the St. Petersburg area
