Bill Buttner, the only head coach the Eckerd Women's Golf squad has ever had enters his fourth full season. In four years, Buttner has compiled a team that has improved dramatically each year.

Buttner, a 1978 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, brings to Eckerd a wealth of playing and teaching experience to the program.  He enjoyed a 15-year professional career, including six years on the PGA Tour, five US Open appearances, two years on the Nike Tour, and several more years on various international tours. Buttner has also served as a professional instructor for all levels of the game.
