Gibson joined Eckerd in the fall of 2022 after spending the past three years as a student assistant at the University of Tampa. He enters his second year entering the 2024 campaign. 

He also served as a beach volleyball coach for two years at the Optimum Beach Volleyball Club in St. Petersburg. 

In addition to his coaching experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge as a player. Gibson is currently a player with the Optimum Beach Men’s Open while also competing for six years in the AVP Nexts and AVP Tours as well as juniors USA events. He also played a season of indoor volleyball at Hunter (NY) College as a service specialist, where he led the team in aces in 2019.
