Biography

2012 (Junior): Played and started in 54 games she appeared in…Hit .250 from the plate with 37 hits, the third-best total on the team…Recorded a team-high 20 RBI…Scored 15 runs in 148 plate appearances…Recoded eight multi-hit games while manning the hot corner on the diamond defensively with a .920 fielding percentage…On the road against Lynn University (April 6), she went 2-for-4 in the game with two RBI, one run and a walk…Belted a home run against Warner University (Feb. 25) as part of a 2-for-3 day at the plate…Roped back-to-back doubles in consecutive games in the series against Florida Tech and Warner/Mount Olive University…Finished the year with eight successful steals in nine attempts.

2011 (Sophomore): Athletic corner infielder played and started in 51 games...Tallied 13 RBIs and led squad with 11 stolen bases...Went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in season-opening victory against Bowie State...Also went 2-for-4 with three RBIs against Ave Maria on Feb. 19...Had five multi-hit games and three multi-RBI contests...Was named to SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2010 (Freshman): Led Tritons in home runs (6) and RBIs (29) in freshman season...Also had team-best .471 slugging percentage and eight doubles...Drove in two runs or more nine times...Hit first career home run against Warner on Feb. 13...Went 3-for-3 with two home runs and five RBIs in SSC win over Saint Leo on March 2 and followed with a home run and three RBIs in her next game against the Lions...Was named to SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.

Prior to Eckerd: Played at Bartram Trail High School for Coach Jen Harman…Had an outstanding senior year being a selection for the Florida Athletic Association All-Star team, and being named to both All-Conference and All-County teams…Led the 2009 5A State Championship team with 33 RBI’s…also part of the weightlifting team where she was team captain and qualified for states.

Personal: Born on Dec. 29 in Jacksonville, Fla…Daughter of Ron and Shari Schurr…Says Tim Tebow and David Wright are her two favorite athletes and that the Florida Gators are her favorite team…She chose Eckerd because of its location and small school size.
