Rachel Kilbert

First year Assistant Coach Rachel Kilbert joins the Eckerd Softball staff after spending the last three years as Head Coach for Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach. Kilbert will primarily work with pitchers and catchers, but will also be involved extensively with hitting and will assist Coach Beauregard with recruiting.

Proud to be a Wildcat Alum, Kilbert graduated from Bethune-Cookman University in 2006 with a B.S. in Physical Education. Kilbert’s collegiate playing career began at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, where she earned a spot on the Big-East All-Rookie Team in 2001. After her freshman season, Kilbert transferred to B-CC as a sophomore in 2002. She made the MEAC All-Conference Team in 2002 and 2003 as a catcher. In 2005, Rachel helped the Wildcats to their best season in school history, defeating the Universities of Florida, South Florida and Central Florida at NCAA Division 1 Regionals to advance to the Super Regionals in Austin, TX. Though a great experience, the Wildcats were defeated by the Texas Longhorns by a score of 1-0 in extra innings. B-CC finished the season ranked 16th nationally in Division 1. Rachel ended her softball playing days with a career batting average of .315 and a national ranking of 19th for “Toughest to Strike Out”.

Rachel was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. and attended Woodland Hills High School. Rachel has three children—Lily (9), Amaya (6), and Landon (3).

Kilbert currently works full-time as Physical Education Teacher for Pinellas County Schools and recently graduated with a Master of Science in Sports Management/ Sports Administration from American Public University.
