A familiar face among the local prep softball scene, Rusha is preparing to enter his 20th year of service with the Eckerd softball program for the 2025 season.
 
A resident of Escanaba, Michigan, Rusha works with the Tritons for the four-month season.


 
Rusha also serves in the role of assistant coach, marking 10 years with the program at St. Petersburg High School while working alongside former Eckerd Head Coach Kristi Delk. He retired from Mead Paper after spending 35 years in the industry.
 
In Michigan, Rusha coached his little league team to four state titles (2000, 2001, 2002, 2006). He also is an ADA from District 10 in the state.


 
Rusha is married to his wife, Judy, and have two daughters, Kim and Kendall, along with a granddaughter, Adrianna who played softball at the University of Wisconsin - Stout and twins, Oriana Rae and Scarlett Dawn. When in Florida, they reside in Treasure Island.
