Thacker is beginning his second season on the sidelines with the Eckerd College men’s soccer coaching staff as an assistant this fall.
 
He continues to aid Eckerd head coach Steve Magee in various aspects of the program, including on-field coaching, recruiting and administrative work.
 
A native of Nottingham, England, Thacker is remaining affiliated with his alma mater after graduating from Eckerd in 2010 with a degree in Business Administration and Sports Administration.
 
Thacker was a four-year starter from 2006-09 for the Tritons and held captaincy. He was a member of the program when Eckerd climbed into the national rankings in 2006 and he helped topple the nation’s top-ranked program on two different occasions in his time at EC.
 
In his four-year career, Thacker played in 61 matches, scored one goal and was credited with nine assists.

Thacker is a staff coach at VSI Pinellas Flames Soccer Club coaching a U12 boys team.

Will currently resides in Clearwater with his wife Christal, who is also an Eckerd graduate.
