Prior to Eckerd: Prepped at Fairhaven High School, where he was a four-year Varsity Letterman...started all four years and was a three year captain...named team MVP and Best Defensive Player...garnered Standard-Times All-Star Honorable Mention recognition twice during his career... tabbed an Under Armour Preseason All-American in 2019. 

Personal: Son of Timothy and Amelia Lopes ... has one brother, Tyler, who played baseball at Curry College (Mass.) from 2013-2104 ... hobbies include playing video games, conditioning/exercising, and watching TV... favorite team is the Boston Red Sox... favorite athlete is J.T. Realmuto...chose Eckerd over Mercyhurst University, Edison State Community College, and Defiance College.
