Prior to Eckerd: Spent two season at Suffolk University...As a sophomore at Everett High School, went 14-6 and assisted his team in winning the league championship…As a junior, compiled a 13-7 record and helped the team to its second consecutive league title...Named a Greater Boston League All-Star as a junior…Assisted his team to a record setting 18 wins as a senior…Coached by Joe Marchese.
 
Personal: Born June 15…Son of Al and Mary Saia…Has four siblings: Al Jr., Eric, Billy and Marybeth…Enjoys hanging out with friends, playing basketball and watching football…Admires the Boston Red Sox and John Lester.
