Max Kreuter

A former Sunshine State Conference athlete well familiar with what it takes to succeed, Max Kreuter joins the Triton baseball coaching staff for the 2016 season.

Kreuter, a native of Dunedin, Florida, played three seasons for the University of Tampa from 2009-2011 and was part of the Spartan squad that went to the NCAA Division II World Series in 2010.  He played his senior season at Flagler College in Saint Augustine where he went 2-0 on the mound with 25 strikeouts in 34 innings pitched.

Before college, Kreuter was a standout pitcher at Dunedin High School.  As a senior he went 13-0 and helped lead his team to a state championship.  He finished his career with a record of 24-1 and 1.35 ERA.

Kreuter moved into the coaching ranks in 2013 as a volunteer assistant at Flagler.  He returned to his high school alma mater in 2014 and spent two seasons at Dunedin High School as the pitching coach and head assistant coach, developing the Pinellas County Pitcher of the Year as the Falcons advanced to the region finals in 2015.  He spent the summer of 2015 as an assistant coach with the Winchester (Va.) Royals of the Valley League.

Kreuter graduated from Flagler with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in history.  He currently resides in St. Petersburg and teaches algebra at Gibbs High School.
