The McArthur Center serves as the home of Eckerd College’s men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball programs.

The gymnasium features James R. Harley Court, named in 2010 in honor of longtime Eckerd coach and administrator James R. Harley. Harley was one of the founding athletic directors of the Sunshine State Conference and played an instrumental role in the development of Eckerd Athletics.

McArthur underwent renovations prior to the 2022-23 season and has also served as a host site for high-level outside competition, including the St. Pete Showcase featuring NCAA Division I women’s basketball programs, as well as various other tournaments.

Enter Eckerd College through the main entrance at 4200 54th Ave S. After entering campus, veer right at the Avenue of States turnaround, then turn right onto Derby Lane. The McArthur Center will be on your left.
