FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Eckerd Tritons men's and women's track teams competed at the Nova Southeastern Alumni Invitational on Friday, seeing a pair of runners finish inside the top five at the meet.
Nathalia Mallo posted a fourth-place finish in the 800m, clocking a time of 2:23.87 in the event. She was one of two Tritons to place inside the top 10, with teammate
Kailani Casazza grabbing ninth after crossing the finish line in 2:28.90.
Marcus Kennedy also placed fourth in the same event on the men's side with a time of 1:56.48, just one-tenth of a second out of third.
Mikkel Paulson (2:20.14) and
Hugh Kuffner (2:25.02) also competed in the 800m race. Kuffner's time of 4:54.37 in the 1500m was also good for a top-20 placement.Â
The Tritons will be back in action on March 13 for the Spartans Classic in Tampa, Fla.
