TAMPA, Fla. -- Members of the Eckerd men's and women's track & field team competed at the Spartans Open outdoor track meet on Saturday in Tampa.
The Tritons saw runners in both the 1500m and 800m. In the women's 1500m,
Nathalia Mallo placed 16th out of 41 participants with a time of 5:06.75. Teammate
Abigail Davidson crossed the finish line with a mark of 5:58.29. On the men's side in the same race,
Renn Telles posted a time of 4:24.02 to finish in 39th.
Hugh Kuffner was the other Triton to compete and had a time of 4:48.52.
In the 800m,Â
Marcus Kennedy placed in the top 10 in eighth after finishing in 1:57.22.
Mikkel Paulson also participated in the event and clocked a time of 2:22.83. For the women, Mallo also secured a top-10 standing in ninth place after winning her finals flight with a time of 2:30.54.Â
Eckerd will be back in action on Friday for the Nova Southeastern Alumni Invitational.
