ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd men's soccer team dropped its midday match up with the University of Alabama in Huntsville by a score of 4-0 on Sunday at Johnson Field.
The Chargers got on the board early with a goal in the 20th minute by Oil Orzechowski. Eckerd nearly equalized in the 35th as Luciano Rodriguez found the back of the net, but the shot was called back on an offside as UAH took a 1-0 lead into intermission.
Eckerd came out of the second half aggressive, registering six shots in the opening 20 minutes, but they were unable to equalize. UAH made it a 2-0 game, scoring off a long throw in the 67th minute. They added another goal on a free kick just outside the top of the 18 a minute later before adding their fourth of the match five minutes later.
