ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's tennis team closed its season falling to No. 2 Nova Southeastern 6-1 at the Fred Bullard Courts on Sunday afternoon.
The Tritons (9-12) fell to the Sharks (16-3) after dropping the doubles point and five of six singles matches.
The Sharks shutout the Tritons in the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches. Kylie Misdorp and Maya Soligo put up two set wins against Nova Southeastern's No. 2 pairing, falling 6-2.
Catherine Cole was the lone Triton to win a match, taking the No. 6 singles 6-1, 6-2. Misdorp came close in the top spot, dropping her match in two sets 6-4, 7-5.
