ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd men's tennis team fell to Embry-Riddle 7-0 in their final match of the season at the Fred Bullard Courts on Saturday afternoon.
The Tritons (7-11) fell to the Eagles (13-5) after dropping the doubles point and all six singles matches.
Eckerd battled to win the doubles point, with the top two pairings falling in a 7-5 decision.
Mario Kirkov put up a good fight in the No. 2 singles, falling 6-4, 7-5 in straight sets. Phil Grueninger also narrowly dropped set one 7-5 in the No. 6 position, before falling 6-0 in the second set.
The match brings the end of the career of Eckerd's senior, Christian Kearns.
