ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd men's tennis team returned to the Bullard Courts on Tuesday, dropping a nonconference match to Findlay (Ohio), 6-1.
Mario Kirkov and
Marshall Hulett made quick work in the No. 2 doubles slot, winning it 6-2. However, Findlay took the No. 1 and 3 position for the double points over Eckerd (2-2).
Batu Ataseven took the No. 1 spot with a straight set, 6-1 and 6-3, win.
Kirkov battled in the No. 3 slot, taking the first set 6-3 before falling 6-2 and 6-4. Hulett battled in the No. 4 position in a similar fashion, taking the opening set 6-3 before falling 6-1 and 6-3.
The Oilers (4-6) took the rest of the spots in strength sets.
Eckerd returns to action tomorrow, facing Saint Leo at 3:00 PM.
