ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd softball team dropped the final game of the series to Embry-Riddle 10-1 in five innings on Friday afternoon at the Turley Athletic Complex on senior day.
ERAU took a significant lead early, with five runs in the first inning and five in the second frame for a 10-0 favor. The Eagles scored on a pair of two-run doubles in the first inning and a ground out, followed by a two-run single and a three-run homerun in the second inning.
Brenna Lokeinsky gave EC a run in the second on an RBI double.
The Tritons looked to rally in the fourth on Jenice Casanas' single, but the run was cut down at the plate.
