MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Eckerd men's golf alumnus Tim Giuliano '08 is set to caddy for Anirban Lahiri this weekend for the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind for the opening event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Giuliano will be displaying a limited-edition Eckerd College Athletics TowelTag golf towel during this weekend's four rounds.
Giuliano's custom Eckerd Tritons towel is used to raise awareness and support for the Matthew T. McDermott Golf Tournament and Scholarship.
The Matthew T. McDermott Golf Tournament celebrates the life and passion for golf of Matt McDermott, a 1989 Eckerd College alumnus who tragically passed away on September 11, 2001, in the World Trade Center. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Matthew T. McDermott Annual and Endowed Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support for outstanding Eckerd College student golfers.
Giuliano's Eckerd Tritons towel is being sold on Towel Tag's website. Towel Tag is donating a portion of each Eckerd Tritons Towel sold to benefit the Matthew T. McDermott Scholarship Funds.
