ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Tritons and Lions opened the series finale with two scoreless innings before scoring a combined four runs in the third for a 2-2 tie. The Triton softball team was unable to capitalize on the momentum, falling to Saint Leo on Senior Day, 8-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Turley Athletic Complex.
In the third inning, Saint Leo opened the scoring with a pair of RBI singles. The Tritons immediately answered, adding two runs of their own with a two-run single by Lauren Margolis. The Lions then poured on six runs over the next three innings, increasing their lead 8-2.
Eckerd added a run in the seventh inning with an RBI double by Skylar Redish, but the Tritons could not rally, dropping the season finale 8-3.

- Brooklyn Cardona enjoyed a multi-hit effort at the plate, going 2-for-4 at the dish.
- Brenna Lokeinsky, Margolis, and Redish had a hit apiece.
- Lokeinsky and Margolis finish the season as the only Tritons with 20 or more RBIs with 29 and 22, respectively.
- Lokeinsky's double was her 19th extra-base hit, good for the team lead. She finishes the season with 10 doubles, a triple, and eight homeruns.
- Eckerd honored both of its seniors, Hannah Perkins and Hannah Burge, before the game.
