Tritons Top Sailfish, 1-0

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's soccer team ended its season with an exclamation point, defeating Palm Beach Atlantic, 1-0, on Johnson Field Friday night.

Morgan Flemming picked up a pair of saves early in the game as she turned aside consecutive Sailfish shots from Michaela Boyd and Kendall Burrow. The Tritons generated some quality chances in the first 45 minutes, with shots from Aisling Spillane, Adoria Sanders, and Hajar Benjoud, but could not find the back of the net.

Baylee Sigfried committed a foul just past midfield in the 64th minute. Benjoud took the free kick, sending a high ball into the box to the head of Annie Stook, who chipped it off the crossbar and in to put the Tritons up 1-0. Eckerd dominated the second half, keeping the ball in the Sailfish's end, earning seven corner kicks. Eckerd fended off Palm Beach Atlantic the rest of the game, as they defeated the Sailfish 1-0.

Senior goalkeeper Morgan Flemming earned the win in goal as she posted a clean sheet on the night with three saves.
