LAKELAND, Fla. - The No. 4/5 Florida Southern arms stymied the bats of the Eckerd Tritons with three pitchers combining on a no-hitter on Tuesday night at Henley Field.
The Tritons' best chance came in the top of the first after drawing three walks but had one runner cut down stealing and stranded two more. Eckerd only had one more runner reach base via walk in the third, and FSC retired the final 20 batters of the game.
Eckerd's pitching staff certainly managed to hold its own against a powerful Moccasin offense as
Joey Favetta,
Cameron Lanzilli, and
Jarid Salisbury combined to hold FSC to one run and four hits over the first six innings.

KEY MOMENTS
- Eckerd threatened in the top of the first after drawing three walks. Sam Cochrane led off the game with a free pass but was cut down stealing. Garrett Hiott and Nick Conti later followed by reaching base on balls but FSC starter Carson King struck out Chase Achuff to escape the inning.
- Florida Southern led off the bottom of the inning with an infield single by Dylan Costa, who eventually scored on a sacrifice fly. The Tritons stopped the Mocs from adding any more runs in the inning, however, when Keith Leavitt, Jr., threw out Pablo Cabrera who was attempting to advance to third.
- Leavitt, Jr., led off the bottom of the third with a walk but was later doubled off on a line drive by Hiott. He would be the last runner to reach base for Eckerd in the game.
- The Mocs added another run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly, but Ryan Lashley's work in relief with runners on the corners and one out stopped what could have been a big inning. Â FSC tacked on a final run in the eighth.
- Pinch-hitter Nick Arrivo nearly broke up the no-hitter in the top of the eighth on a fly ball to right field but was robbed on a diving grab by Zach Diewart.
