TRITONS THIS WEEK: What's Coming On October 9-15

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. –  After a busy week of games for the fall Triton teams, Eckerd's schedule slows down slightly this week. Men's soccer will be home Wednesday, women's soccer will be home Saturday for the annual Pink Game, and sailing will host a regatta on Saturday. The men's golf, volleyball, and coed sailing teams will travel this week as well.

Men's Golf 
Monday/Tuesday: GolfRank Invitational (PGA National) | West Palm Beach, Fla. | Live Stats 
* The men's golf team will travel to West Palm Beach for the GolfRank Invitational at PGA National Monday and Tuesday.  Eckerd last played three weeks ago, placing 15th at the Griffin Invitational. Felix Bolivar and Justin Ayanian led Eckerd, both with scores of 232, while Bolivar shot a career-best even-par 72 in the second round. 

Men's Soccer

* Eckerd (3-4-1, 1-3-1 SSC) enters the week of conference play coming off a bye weekend in conference play and a 2-2 draw at Saint Leo during midweek action. Eckerd faces tough competition this week against two nationally ranked teams. The Tritons will host No. 17 Rollins on Wednesday night and travel to No. 8 Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday. 
* The Tritons' offense is led by Juan David Tejada with four goals and one assist. Tejada also sits in the top five of the conference in several statistical categories – third in shots per game (3.13), tied for second in shots (25), and tied for fifth in goals (4). 
* Westleigh Rush and Robert Carter have each added two goals and an assist.
* Alex Gott leads the conference with 34 saves on the season. Gott has also posted 2.5 clean sheets thus far. 
* No. 17 Rollins (5-3-1, 3-3 SSC) enters the week following two conference losses last week to Tampa and Palm Beach Atlantic. Ben Grant leads the Tars' attack with five goals, which also sits third in the conference. 
* No. 8 Palm Beach Atlantic (8-0-2, 4-0-1 SSC) is coming off a big week after topping No. 4 Lynn, 1-0, and knocking off No. 17 Rollins. Cleef Desir leads the Sailfish offense with five goals and one assist, while five Sailfish have added two goals apiece. 
* Last season, Eckerd lost to Palm Beach Atlantic and played to a 2-2 draw with Rollins. 

Women's Soccer

* Eckerd (3-5, 2-3 SSC) enters the week coming off a bye weekend in conference play and a 1-0 win against Saint Leo during midweek action. Eckerd will travel to Rollins on Wednesday before returning home Saturday to host Palm Beach Atlantic for the annual Pink Game. 
* Stephanie Linton leads the Tritons' offense with seven goals, which also leads the conference. Linton sits in second in the SSC in shots (31), and shots per game (3.88). Paula Astiazaran has contributed two goals and two assists while four other Tritons have added one goal apiece. 
* Abby Sanchez has added three assists this season, which is tied for first in the conference. 
* Rollins (3-5-2, 2-2-2 SSC) enters the match with a 1-0-1 record last week after a win over Tampa and a tie against Palm Beach Atlantic. Rollins's attack is spread out with five players scoring one goal each. Goalkeeper Kelly Rowswell ranks second in the conference in saves with 55.
* Palm Beach Atlantic (2-5-1, 1-3-1 SSC) enters the week off a 1-0-1 week with a win over Lynn and a tie against Rollins. Taylor Frizen and Kayla Fisher lead the Sailfish attack with three and two goals, respectively. 
* Last season, Eckerd played to a draw with both teams. After taking the lead against Rollins at home, EC settled for a 1-1 draw as Casey Winn had 13 saves.  Eckerd and PBA played to a scoreless draw.

Volleyball

* The Tritons (7-5, 3-4 SSC) will travel to the South Region Crossover in Birmingham, Alabama, this weekend after going 1-2 last week. Eckerd will play three teams from the Gulf South Conference starting with Christian Brothers (Tenn.) on Friday night and West Florida and Lee (Tenn.) on Saturday. 
* Paula Hoffmann sets the pace for Eckerd's attack. Hoffman has tallied 174 kills on the season while posting a career-high 25 kills Saturday at Flagler. She averages 4.24 kills per set, second-most in the conference. Behind Hoffmann sits a balanced attack of Abbie O'Ferrell (66 kills), Kali Boatwright (62), Madison Whiting (60), and Stephanie Karlovics (59).
* Eckerd leads the conference in service aces with 90, averaging 2.09 per set. Arielle Erillo and Fernanda Reis are the top two in the conference with 26 and 21 aces, respectively. 
* Kaitlyn Sibson leads the Eckerd back row with 212 digs. Sibson ranks second in the conference averaging 4.93 digs per set. 
* Christian Brothers (9-11) split games over the weekend, picking up a win over Valdosta State (Ga.). Emma Lenoir leads the Bucs' attack with 296 kills while three other Bucs have over 100 kills. 
* West Florida (15-4) won twice last weekend in GSC play topping Union (Tenn.) and Christian Brothers. Rachel Neblett (224 kills), Jordyn Poppen (172), and Nadine Williams (168) led the Argonauts' attack. 
* Lee (11-4) enters off a 1-1 week after picking up a win over Alabama-Huntsville. Silvia Sartori leads the Flames attack with 220 kills. MaKayla Beebe paces the Flames' defense with 274 digs. 
* Eckerd beat West Florida, 3-2, last year at the crossover with 14 kills from Boatwright and 22 digs from Sibson. Eckerd last played Lee in 2015 at the crossover, winning 3-2, and hasn't played Christian Brothers since 2013 where the Tritons won, 3-0. Eckerd leads the all-time series against Christian Brothers (4-0), is tied with Lee (1-1), but trails West Florida (8-4).

* The Tritons are coming off another busy weekend on the water. Eckerd raced in three regattas over the weekend finishing third and fourth at the SAISA South Points #5 and placing 16th at the Moody Trophy and the Jen Harris Navy Fall Women's Regatta. The Tritons will look to bounce back as they host the SAISA South Points #6 Saturday for the coed and women's teams while the coed squad also travels to Annapolis, Maryland, for the Truxton Umstead Trophy.
