Isaiah Placide, from Hampton, Georgia, averaged 24.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 45.0 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from the perimeter over EC's opening weekend. Placide opened play with a career-high 26 points while going 4-for-8 from 3-point range and pulling in four rebounds as Eckerd fell to Benedict (SC). He added 22 points with four triples and three rebounds in a 10-point victory over Allen. He garnered SSC Player of the Week honors after his opening week performance.
