Cole is a four-year member of the sailing team and team captain. He has appeared in 17 regattas over his career as a crew, helping the team to five top-three finishes. He is Eckerd's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Vice President, a member of the Athletic Diversity Action Committee (ADAC), and the Eckerd College Emergency Response Team (EC-ERT). He is also the chair and founder of the All-South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association's (SAISA) The Inclusivity Diversity and Equity (TIDE) Task Force.
