Connor Masella opened the 2017 tennis season with a win on Saturday, defeating Florida Tech's Jose Martinez at No. 6 singles, 7-6 and 6-2.  It was an important victory for Masella, who spent the majority of his sophomore campaign sidelined by injuries after a promising freshman season.  The Delray Beach, Florida, native posted nine singles wins and eight doubles wins as a freshman.
