Kyle Macklin led the Eckerd men's golf team at the Bearcat Golf Classic in Greenwood, South Carolina, finishing in a tie for 25th place in a field of 90 golfers.  The freshman continued to build on his solid rookie campaign as he trimmed strokes off his score each round.  Macklin opened with a four-over 76 on Monday morning and followed with a 74 in the afternoon before closing with a one-over 73 on Tuesday.  Macklin has a spring stroke average of 75.3 and has shot 74 or better five times in nine spring rounds.
