Senior guard E.J. Moody was named the Sunshine State Conference Tournament MVP on Sunday after his 19-point performance lifted Eckerd to an 87-84 win over Barry in the championship game.  The Lakeland, Florida, native scored 12 in the second half, including a clutch 3-pointer late in the game.  He also dished out seven assists in the win over Barry as well as EC's semifinal win over Lynn.
